Is grief preventing you from being the person you want to be?
Do you wish there was a better way to cope with loss?
Welcome. Have you experienced a loss? If yes, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Are you on a rollercoaster of emotions that seems to never end? Feeling like you’re falling down a bottomless pit? Feeling nothing at all? If you are wondering where to go from here or what comes next, then I am happy you found this site because you are on the right track.
Let’s face it: grief is painful, but it is a natural response. For Black people, grief can feel like a wound that never heals. That’s because in addition to experiencing losses on an individual level, we experience losses collectively. Discrimination, oppression, and systemic racism can make us forget that we are Kings and Queens. Black people as a whole may be grieving a lost identity.
Resiliency helps you adjust to losses. It is defined as “the ability to recover quickly from difficulties”. At T.R.U.S.T. Wellness, we swap the word “quickly” with “efficiently”. Efficiency is all about maximum productivity with minimum wasted efforts. Recovering from loss is painful, and it takes carefully spent time and effort. Your grief journey cannot be ignored or rushed. Rushing can render you powerless. The good news is that building resiliency from loss is completely doable with the right tools.
How can we build resiliency?
T– Time. Grief takes time. Taking time to build resiliency will give you more time. Time to spend being authentic. Time to find your purpose. Time to keep living a life of health and wellness.
R– Release. Building resiliency involves releasing emotions and that which you cannot control. You release so you can see yourself as you really are and improve your wellbeing.
U– Unlearn. Unlearn the social norms you may have internalized about how you should grieve. Unlearn what you know to increase self-awareness and empowerment.
S– Surrender. Surrender to the process of grief and loss by deepening your connection to self and something greater.
T– Transform. Transform by improving upon your resilient nature. Transform your losses through meaning making and creating continued bonds. Transformation involves change, however you define it.
“T.R.U.S.T. Wellness Inc. summarizes everything I am passionate about: wellness on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. Our health does not have to suffer because we are grieving. We can work together to create a life of resiliency from scratch or build upon what’s already existent.”

How do you show up for the world and for yourself? Take a minute right now to explore what optimum health and wellness look like to you. Do you feel resilient to whatever comes your way in life? Losses can be traumatic. They can affect our appetite, sleep, thought patterns, and the way we view ourselves and the world around us. They remain with us and become a part of who we are, changing our physical, mental, and spiritual nature. We are spiritual beings in an earthly body. We hurt, and we grieve, deeper than we may realize. We would do ourselves an injustice by ignoring the impact of loss and grief. When you pay attention to the impacts, you can start to build resiliency and pave the way for wellness. Services at T.R.U.S.T. Wellness are designed to support you physically, mentally and spiritually.
